IT Electronics Ltd based in Auckland can repair and service any brand of Audio and Hi Fi stereo amplifiers whether it be modern, classic or vintage.
Turntables, Cassette Decks and Reel to Reels players are also possible, but it depends on the make, model and parts being available. Likewise, those classic CD players of the 80’s can be serviced, but very dependent on the availability of parts (in particular Optic Assys) and service information. I do not service late model CD players (post 2000) or DVD Players as they are simply not worth or economical to repair.
I have during my vast career in audio electronics engineering I worked for companies servicing represented brands such as Pioneer, Sansui, Sony, JVC plus many, many other brands at the time which are now considered classics.
I can service any brand which includes: Pioneer, Sansui, Sony, JVC, Rotel, Yamaha, Kenwood, Marantz, Luxman, Hitachi, Quad, Arcam, Cambridge Leak, the list goes on. If its not listed, feel free to give me a call, email or txt.
Some of the most common problems with Vintage, Classic amps can be repaired at modest cost such as:
- Noisy, crackly switches, volume, balance and tone controls
- Dry solder joints
- Aging electrolytic capacitors
- Poor wire wrap connections
PLEASE NOTE:
This equipment will incur an upfront cost of $58 +gst, which will come off an estimated total repair charge of any completed jobs.
This cost covers the initial inspection or evaluation time undertaken to diagnose the fault and is not refundable should the unit be found to be uneconomical or unrepairable.
Please also note that I reserve the right to refuse to take on any repair that has been interfered with in whichever way.
WE BUY – Classic Amplifiers and Turntables, however they have to be those built through the 1970’s, 1980 up to the 1990’s
